Refund Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2025
1. General Policy
SOULE, LESLIE, KIDDER, SAYWARD & LOUGHMAN, P.L.L.C. provides professional legal services. Because legal services involve attorney time, professional analysis, consultations, and work product, refunds are generally not available for services already performed.
2. Consultation Fees
Consultation fees, if charged, are generally non-refundable once the consultation has been conducted.
3. Retainers
Retainers may be deposited into trust accounts where required by applicable professional rules. Unused portions of retainers may be refunded in accordance with: • Engagement agreements • Applicable legal ethics requirements • State law requirements
4. Billing Disputes
Clients who believe an invoice contains an error should contact the Firm promptly.
5. Cancellation Requests
If services have not commenced, cancellation requests may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
6. No Guarantee of Outcome
Legal representation does not guarantee any particular result, recovery, judgment, settlement, or outcome. Dissatisfaction with a case result does not automatically entitle a client to a refund.
7. Case-by-Case Review
Any refund consideration will be evaluated individually based on: • Services rendered • Time invested • Costs incurred • Applicable ethical obligations
8. Chargebacks
Clients agree to contact the Firm before initiating a chargeback so concerns may be reviewed and addressed.
